Release Notes December 17th, 2020

In an effort to provide your organization with the best experience possible, Sourcepoint continually releases new features, updates, and bug fixes for our Consent Management Platform (CMP). Below are the most recent updates to CMP:

New

API Method to Get Vendor to Purpose Mapping

In order to help your web developers access vendor to purpose mappings, Sourcepoint is introducing the getVendorPurposeMapping method.

__tcfapi('getVendorPurposeMapping', 2, (vendorPurposeMapping, success) => {});

Update

SameSite Cookies for Firefox

In anticipation of Firefox's proposed plans to reject cookies for not having the SameSite Attribute defined we have updated how we set these cookies:

  • https sites: SameSite: None; secure = true;

  • non-https sites: SameSite: Lax

Accessibility for CCPA Privacy Manager

We have updated our CCPA Privacy Manager so that when it is opened from a footer link and subsequently saved and exited, end-users will remained focused on the bottom of the page at the footer.

Mobile

AMP

Organization's who have implemented AMP can now utilize Sourcepoint's re-consent workflows when creating Scenarios. The re-consent workflow for AMP is dependent on how your organization has implemented your <amp-consent> component. See below for more information:

Note: If you haven't done so already, be sure to set checkConsentHref in the parent JSON object and not the clientConfig object in the amp-consent component.

checkConsentHref = ……./amp

If your AMP consent component <amp-consent> has checkConsentHref = ……./amp then your organization should use Show Message Always.

checkConsentHref = ……/amp-v2

If the amp consent component <amp-consent> has checkConsentHref = ……/amp-v2 then your organization should create a re-consent workflow using TCFv2 No Action step followed by a Show Message Always step.

Bug Fixes

  • For organizations who have implemented OTT Privacy Manager for the Samsung Tizen and/or Magenta Box, buttons (except for Reject All/Accept All/Consent) can be triggered via the Enter key on their respective remote controls.
