Track User Actions with Adobe DTM Events

Admin access or Domain access to property (property group) with feature access to vendor list management.

The Adobe DTM (Dynamic Tag Manager) has the ability to trigger tag containers based on custom events. In this article, we will cover how to integrate these triggers for a GDPR TCF v2 Vendor List consent actions for tags that a property chooses to isolate inside their tag manager.

For information on how to create a custom event inside the Adobe DTM interface please reference the following article from Adobe -- https://helpx.adobe.com/dtm/kb/custom-event.html.

Navigate to your Sourcepoint account and click GDPR from the top navigation bar. Select TCF v2 from the dropdown menu.

Navigate to a GDPR non-TCF Vendor List on the subsequent list and click Edit.

Alternatively, navigate along the following pathways to add a vendor tag (vendor pixel) to a vendor on a GDPR non-TCF or CCPA Vendor List:

  • GDPR > Non IAB > Edit

  • CCPA > Vendor List > Edit

Click the appropriate vendor or category from the list (depending on your DTM event).

Select Consent Actions from the subsequent modal and input the JavaScript snippet in the field provided under the Custom JS tab. Below is an example of a custom Adobe DTM event:

Click Apply changes when finished.
