Setting Up Dialogue in Google Tag Manager (GTM)

For non-adblocking use cases, Dialogue can be set up in tag management systems that do not isolate tags to an iframe including Google Tag Manager. The process for setting up the Dialogue code to be served from GTM is straightforward. Sourcepoint does not recommend setting Dialogue up in a tag manager for adblocking use cases.

The messaging library still needs to be loaded onto the sites file structure and then loaded asynchronously using bootstrap.

Step 4 - Set the “Trigger” option to “Page View”. Optionally, you can use a GTM “Custom Trigger” if necessary.

At this point, testing can proceed as normal and messages set up in the Dialogue user interface should be displayed to site visitors.
